Candles were lit for these times and the hypocrisy we all find ourselves in.
It's going to be difficult to ignore political conversations but that is the current climate.
It's going to be difficult watching those who accused one side of bad behavior they might engage in if losses were had, acting worse than their predictions. Peace and equality in the form of a brick to the head, mob beatings, and more violence than they would ever stand for from others.
How sad to watch a society fall.
I am on no one's side as I have mentioned. Sometimes I agree with the left and sometimes the right but usually with neither.
Free speech gets your brains bashed in.
I will speak anyway.
Differing opinions get you hated.
But everyone has their own opinion. You hate what you refuse to even try to understand.
Rome is falling and it's the people who are tearing it down.
Assimilate to being North American...like the Original People's did....or else? What does it even mean to be North American?
Are we just ignorant and entitled colonized fools thinking our cake is the world and we'll just eat the whole thing?
We're living in tumultuous times. We're living in ways that bring wars, death, and famine.
So yes, I lit candles and set intentions for clarity, peaceful resolutions and for the hypocrisy of both the right and left to end. I fear I'll be waiting a long time but it won't halt my prayers.
This is all I could muster this morning. ..the rest just seemed trite.
More Unpopular Thinking
I've never sat on such a fence as I sit now.
The world is insane.
Trump is a direct example of far too many from the baby boomer generation who feel they are entitled. Who forget how they got here to North America and who was harmed in the process.
I'm third generation Canadian and John is second. We weren't allowed to forget how our family got here. My grandparents remembered and told of borders being closed off to Eastern European immigrants, not so many Moon's ago.
My great grandmother told a horrifying story of being 4, hiding in a massive vice in a basement in a small village in Hungary when soldiers came and turned tight that vice, almost killing her.
One story...I have others.
To some of you it looks like I'm on both sides of the fence...I'm not. I'm on 'humanity's' side and I'm not seeing much of that balance at all. I'm seeing spoiled brats and people in complete denial. I'm seeing finger pointing and foot stomping. No solutions.
I will be honest that I hoped for Trump to get in so that America would fully wake up to its illnesses and have to truly begin to heal. I fear it just gave too many permission to show exactly how they feel in all the worst ways.
North America is a horribly mistreated teenager who was abandoned or a spoiled teenager who ran away from home and thinks it knows better....I can't decide....
Dear Canada...you're looking pretty shady yourselves....don't jump on a high horse anytime soon....
