I'd say I'm late in posting this morning but I suspect that I'm right on time.
I've been burning the proverbial candle at both ends for months and today was the day my body said, 'Enough! Sleep!' With Sierra done her high school exams, I took advantage of sleeping in without even meaning to.
So without further hesitations....
Good morning Wednesday!
I enjoyed writing yesterday's post on Tuesday and it might be why I was so exhausted. I didn't stop in the slightest yesterday but when I finally did around 11 last night, I was gone, out, down for the count. Time to get to bed a bit earlier and perhaps not expect quite so much from myself in the 16-18 hours I'm awake.
I can't seem to help myself though! It's the time of year that has me buzzing around like a busy bee . But I digress.
Wednesday and Mercury's Influence
Wednesday is ruled by the planet Mercury which is all about communication and commerce. It's also named after two very distinct and different gods of ancient times. Woden/Odin and Mercury/Hermes. (so 4 gods)
"Under Woden’s (Odin's) supervision, the earth and sky were created from the dead body of a giant named Ymir. Woden also created the first man and woman from an ash tree and an alder. As if fashioning the human race wasn’t enough, Woden also established the laws of the universe.
Mercury(Hermes) was the messenger of the gods, along with being the patron of science, the arts, travelers, and athletes. Today, he is one of the most widely recognized gods. Usually, he’s depicted wearing a winged helmet and sandals."
It's like Hermes/Mercury could have been Odin's mighty messengers Huginn and Muninn!
Yes, a busy and full day indeed for its offerings!
Wednesday is the perfect day and energy to schedule meetings and appointments, schedule events and if you've got any important calls to make, then make them! It is also the perfect day to express yourself to those you loved, write those emails you've been putting off and chat on the phone with someone who's voice you dearly miss.
Mercury rules the higher mind, so brainstorming and ideas usually flourish on Wednesday. It's the perfect day to create a blueprint of whatever project you'd like to begin. Save this day to workshop ideas and come up with creative projects. It is also the perfect time to get clear with yourself about any difficult life decisions you've been putting off making. Don't hesitate any longer. Talk it out with yourself and trust your instincts in your final decision.
Being the middle of our scheduled week, the energy of the Wednesday also provides us with a clue as to whether or not we are paying attention to our needs and what energy we are expressing out into the Universe.
In order to best use the energy of Wednesday, take the opportunity to express yourself and contemplate on whether the energy you are sending out into the Universe is aligned with what you want for yourself.
The colour for Wednesday is yellow and one of my favorites! Yellow is a color of intellect and clarity. Wear yellow when you're not so clear headed and things are a bit muffled in your head. Mercury's attention is attracted to yellow and offers clarity and wisdom in response to it.
In the English nursery rhyme 'Monday's Child' it is said that 'Wednesday’s Child is Full of Woe' Or perhaps it is Woden's gifts they are filled with?
Perhaps this poem was much older than we realize it to be.
At any rate, happy hump day :D
