For years this specific piece of art has been a favorite of mine and I think of it every morning I wake to cloud cover and the chance of rains.
In the artist's own words:
'These aren't the heavy storms with the violence of thunder & lightning.
And that really is the way it goes. Before you are soaked with your own emotions and all the 'stuff' surrounding you, you get a feeling that the damn is going to break before it does. You know the storm is brewing and that it won;t let up until you're ready to let go.
It's time to let go now. No need to lash out with lightening and bellowing thunder, just let go.
I began this post in and around 6am and by the time I was at this point the sky began to clear. I guess it's not the time for her to let go just yet.
It's like that for some. Holding on until the thing consumes them and then letting go is no longer an option because whatever it is they were holding onto now has a grip on them.
I'm gripped by my own things as well. Working on bettering my world for myself and my family is my top priority and nothing will stand in the way of that. Least of all external forces out of my understanding and care factor.
So I went out into our circle garden and I thanked it for taking my tears and anger. It's growing so well and nothing is better than what you grow yourself, make yourself, do for yourself.
Today also marks the first day I began speaking about the 'Deep Green Rub' that I had made. You see I was wanting desperately to help a friend with fibromyalgia who was suffering. I had gone to a First Nations Centre that I get some of the medicine I cannot forage from and found a blend of herbs for nerve pain and damage. I now create that blend on my own and have found a nice balance of the other herbs and resins used. We have used this for everything from headaches, neck pain, sprains, backaches, pulled muscles, and from the message this friend had sent me, it was helping her fibro as well.
I also have a couple of massage therapists using it exclusively on their clients.
Please contact the website for more details as a new batch is underway and is now made purely on demand.
I was able to cut costs on supplies which has the rub now available for $15 per 1oz tin as opposed to $20.
Salves are being played with today and by month's end, I'll be announcing something new coming in the way of the 'Heal Me" Plantain salve. Let's just say I'll be creating a little something for everyone to choose from.
You'll also be able to find the morning posts on the website as well as this page from now on. As well as a new space on the website for memes and inspirational photos, some funny, some serious, all in one space.
Have a great day and be ready to just 'let it all go'.
